Viajando por... ITALIA / Traveling in... ITALY

Hello everyone! Today i'm going to talk about the trip i took last summer with my boyfriend. We traveled all over Italy. Yes! All over Italy! We visited the most famous cities of the country. We traveled for 14 days by car, city by city. I really love Italy, its historic towns, food and language.

Our journey begins here! At the airport. The journey Barcelona-Bolonia lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes.

The historic center is closed to car traffic, and therefore the easiest way to cross the city is the bicycle. For this reason it is considered the city of bicycles, because everyone uses this means of transportation daily. From there we took the car.

The most prominent landmark is the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (Cathedral), is located in the city center. The Renaissance building is large and covered with colored marble forming a labyrinth of shapes and textures.
Another characteristic symbol of the town is the Ponte Vecchio, the most famous and ancient Florence. It is of medieval origin, remodeled during the Renaissance replaces fur stores by jewelers.

The Piazza del Campo is not the most famous and the local community center, where the famous palio race develops doubts. This square is tilted. Looks like a huge theater scene as the audience would Palazzo. At the top there is a little fountain.

And finally we came to Rome. The capital of Italy. It is the most densely populated country. During its history it was one of the great metropolises of Humanity. The heart of the most ancient and important civilizations. Has been on the list of World Heritage of Unesco. This city was founded by Romulus and Remus in 753 B.C.

First we visited the Roman Coliseum. I had seen when I was younger, but always continues to impress me as the first time. It is very close to the Roman Forum. The entrance to the Colosseum is open to the public paying the price of admission.

The next area we visited was Rome Vatican City. We went at sunset and there were not many people at that time. It was perfect because in this way we could better appreciate the beauty of the place and its large dimensions.

Why not, we should visit the Plaza Spain. When it was us he was very full of people of different nationalities. This was a bit difficult to walk among the people to go upstairs and see the square from above. By the way, nice views from the top of the stairs.

Finally we visited the Fontana di Trevi. Symbolic monument of the city. It is the custom of throwing coins into the fountain placing us back to her and asking the desire to return to Rome. It is said that visitors throw a coin into the fountain, ensure your return to Rome. And I must say that the first coin that I launched in 2007 and was turned!
An estimated 3,000 euros a day are thrown to the source. The money has been used to fund a supermarket for Rome's needy residents.
Be very careful in the area around the fountain, because although there are many police guarding the area, Fontana is one of the strengths of thieves portfolio. If you visit Rome, watch your wallet in Fontana or all of your money will go into the wrong hands.

And to end our trip, the last destination was Termoli. Coastal town located south of Italy. We spent a week of beach, sun and shopping! The city despite being tiny has a hidden charm. Between its streets there is one of the smallest streets in Europe.

One day we went to the islands of Tremiti. A ferry took us from Termoli to Tremiti, lasting about 2 hours.

Once the ferry arrives, a group of people will start to chase you rent one boat with them. Actually they were really funny as they fought with each other to get more people. We took a boat with roof, because we would spend all day checking out the islands and did not want to die of heat stroke.

If you go to Termoli or near, it is 100% recommended to take a break and visit the Tremiti Islands. Looks like you're in the Caribbean, and it really is Italy. We brought a mini ice cream shop with drinks and great pizzas, and spent the day so divinely.

Finally. I did not want to dwell much, but I could spend pages and pages writing about this trip. We ate really well, were delighted with the cities we visited. In short, I love Italy. All.

If you know you do not do this summer, why not come to Italy? You will be surprised!
